Is there a place online that isn't a shithole of ideological extremism?

I'm giving up on Reddit because of their censorship and transgender virtue signalling BS, but I just got here and what I'm seeing is low-key anti-black racism and right-wing conspiracy theories.

For fuck's sake, is there a place that respects people and has a true live-and-let-live mentality with good discussion?

I think if you want a place without censorship, the price is gonna have to be seeing stuff you disagree with. This is the hard lesson that Reddit refused to learn.

Why does it upset you so much that White people are allowed to have opinions you don't like?

[–]TheBeefBenson 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (29 children)

Because they aren't so much opinions as just insane vitriol and it's depressing to see.

[–]Dragonerne 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Care to give an example of those insane vitriolic not-opinions?

[–]EuropeanAwakening 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (24 children)

You're just describing White people's opinions and self advocacy as vitriolic nonsense. This is the game people like you play.

[–]TheBeefBenson 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (23 children)

I'm describing comments calling the Jews fundamentally evil as vitriolic nonsense.

[–]EuropeanAwakening 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (21 children)

If a group of people was trying to destroy blacks would you not call them evil?

You probably consider people like me to be fundamentally evil because I'm a White Nationalist. You want good little docile White people.

when you deny a group of people even exist and take steps to disenfranchise them and make sure there are less of them, that is essentially a slow genocide.

The majority of jews don't believe that whites exist as a legitimate group, ergo support white extinction.

      [–]AddledCorpse 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I'm not seeing any insane vitriol.

And if it is, it's probably a joke. Have a scoff or if you don't like it move on.

Can't handle the pure internet then go back to reddit. Or fb. Or Insta. Or Twitter. Or Google.

Or literally everywhere else with commodified restricted speech..

      [–]Ladis_Wascheharuum 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Why did you even mention white people?

A good opinion is good regardless of who has it. A bad opinion is bad regardless of who has it. When you judge an opinion, or argument, or plea, based on the color of a person's skin, that's not just racist, it's stupid.

      [–]Dragonerne 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Black guy: Blacks deserve to live
Racist: OMG, that "right wing" guy is so hateful.
Outsider: Why does it upset you so much that Black people are allowed to have opinions you don't like?
Racist: Why did you even mention black people?

Note: The example is not meant to attack you but merely explain how this conversation can be perceived. I changed the racial group on purpose.

      [–]EuropeanAwakening 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Why did he bring up black people? Because he cares about his race, the same reason I brought up White people. Why are you okay with him defending blacks but criticize me for defending White Americans?

When he brings up "anti-black racism" what he is really describing is White people discussing black behavior. Such as the massive amounts of violence they inflict upon White Americans. This is an example of White people discussing an issue that matters to them in terms of their interests and he is offended by it and wants to stop it from occurring because it is against the interests of HIS racial group for White people to collectivize on the basis of race and deny blacks the ability to inflict violence on Whites. Because that would mean blacks would not have access to White society, which means the quality of life for his group would decline greatly.

Race and skin color are not the same thing. Racial disputes and conflict do not occur due to differences in skin color. They occur due to behavioral differences brought about through thousands of years of evolution. Read J.P. Rushton's Race Evolution, and Behavior and learn something.

The fact that you capitalize "white" but not "black" is telling. I'm doubtful you are saying anything in good faith. Regardless...

defending blacks but criticize me for defending White Americans

You are equivocating on "defending". I'm only "defending" blacks in the sense of saying they should not be treated as lesser. You're "defending" whites right to have an opinion that they are superior. Those aren't equivalent.

Of course, anyone can believe their group is superior for whatever reason, no matter how wrong they are. I was just complaining that I'm annoyed by the racism here. I'm not shutting down your rights. I'm just exercising my right to my opinion that racist thought is provably stupid.

Finally, if we are talking of rights, right are individual things. They apply to persons. Groups have no rights greater than the sum of their members. (Some of the most asinine U.S. legal decisions are those that purport to treat corporations as people with rights. Corporations are legal tools and should be kept of a very short leash. I feel the same way about unions.) The "white race" or "white culture" or whatever you call it isn't a person, it doesn't have rights to be defended. Every white person does, and every black person does.

Idk man. I came here to be free from censorship, but I'm seeing so many crazies here. I 'woke up' from the far left after the TRA's began policing other people's identities, thereby dumping on the 'live and let live' ideology that initially drew me toward progressivism, but this place seems to be drawing in mostly hard right extremists that want to police other people's right to exist in the same way the hard left is currently doing.

Nuance and non-dogmatic thinking is dead, I guess. Fuckin' hell.

      [–]rdh2121 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

While I don't disagree with you, the difference here is that you can respond to their vitriol and hate and not be silenced for it, which automatically makes this space superior to the other platforms. I've been trying to call out bullshit here whenever I see it, and actively participating in the community is how we're going to make sure nuanced and non-dogmatic opinions are heard, since, at least currently, they can't be silenced here.

      [–]forgottenpasswordguy 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I 100% feel what you're saying. Personally I think it's best we stick it out here, because we have to find somewhere IMO. We'll have to keep debating extreme opinions and/or telling people to piss off however.

This is the place where TRUTH can be spoken. Please don't confuse what you are brought to believe, and therefore would like to confirm, with the TRUTH of WHAT IS. Study the discussions. Learn new things. This is Saidit.

      [–]zerosis 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Don't confuse truth with dogma. Critical thinking and rationality are great, but the universe isn't hard-coded with a 'correct' ideology.

      [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Don't confuse "TRUTH can be spoken" with "ONLY truth is spoken".

The universe is objective reality. No more, no less. We can try to represent it approximately it with truth.
