Anyone else dislike the Saidit slogan?

"Say your truth."

There is no "your truth" and "my truth," there is only observable, objective truth.

Yes there is only objective truth, but no one person has the full truth.

We are all blind men feeling different parts of the elephant. Thus we each have "our" truth, but together with our knowledge combined, we can get closer to "the" truth of the universe.

That's what I was going for with that slogan.

I like that explanation, and I guess it does have a better ring to it than "Share your knowledge."

I think it's decent. I like how it expounds on the name of the website, and how it presents the site as a community where your voice can be heard. The main issue is that it lacks rhythm.

Can you elaborate on this? I'm curious what you mean exactly. It seems tough to establish rhythm in only 3 words, but that's not really something I'd considered before either

That's a good question. It's hard to articulate, but it just doesn't roll off the tongue that well. Both "say" and "truth" demand emphasis, and emphasizing two sounds in a three syllable slogan is too much. And the sequence of consonants at the end, "r-t-r", sounds unnatural. ("Say your truth.")

I'm a bit over the current wave of criticising saidit.

Although I totally agree with you. We live in a manifest physical universe, and so there is a root 'truth' of creation that all things eventually refer to. The ever shifting, ungrounded 'relative' truth of leftist doctrine is an affront to reality and should be rejected at all costs.

Beliefs are not necessarily truths, although they may be, depending if they are correct or not.

    completely agree, only thing I dislike about this site is 'speak your truth', Jesse Lee Peterson had a week on his radio show where he asked people about that expression and had a lot to say about it.

          There are personal truths for what is personal philosophy of life, but your truths directing decisions effecting/affecting potential futures.

          There are the little truths we share like hey man don't walk into that tree.

          But, is there a universal truth for all of us? This requires experimentation, a discussion (about all the personal truths we use for one's self) between many People at a level of personal depths of inner information. The majority of humans would shy away from participation. It must be a set and setting from, which all participants feel trust, safe and equals with all others in the room. The more detail I put into this thought of how to come up with an answer to is there a universal truth for all of us...the more the experiment will be come too difficult of most humans to participate.

            Yes, and the word paradigm says that, which is scientifically accepted paradigm will have a shift of paradigmatic understanding of the Universe (into another paradigm). Einstein shifted things greatly and knew he was not totally correct and went off attempting to unify the forces of Physics. In hopes of a better paradigm than the one he already shifted us into.

            So, how I wrote the sentence can be seen by your <directive> perspective. Yet, this perspective disregards the context of the conversation and cherry picks meaning from a sentence and not the whole picture. And I could have written my idea down with more clarity. Hence, the tree is a shared reality and is truth as soon as you break you nose.

            With this in mind your next statement supports my original thought. The tree's own atoms and being is a truth...NO? Well, I cannot deny the trees flesh or my own.
