Hiding subs, IMO, is like sweeping problems under the rug.

One of these "problems" is being so popular their sub dominates /s/all.

Another "problem" is when a sub festers content not worthy of Saidit, and remains "hidden" away, out of sight, out of mind.

One problem with extremist or fake content is posting without context. I have posted fake news not to claim that's it's true, but to share and say, "Get a load or what they're saying now." In ambiguous cases I usually try to explain what's noteworthy.

For all content though:

What is problematic for one, might be a solution for another. What is unworthy to one saidditor, may be worthy to another.

What should be avoided is privatizing the s/all for a few people. It is where voat messed up at-least.

I mean I don't want to call anyone out and give isolated examples of bad content on s/all by the dozens, but if there are pitfalls in moderation; it might be better to hide or force extreme content to a sub and sweep it under or something until it can be better figured out down the road? Iono.

The site is fine as it is, there is nothing wrong with it. I'm just trying to help out even though its not my job and I'm giving out a worthless opinion lol.

Also there should be a fight to the death for all subs! Like literally... so we can see who is truly the better sub.

Indeed, well stated. An open democratic constructive discussion could consider these ideas and more.

LOL. IMO, we all need to help the 2 admins maintain this site-wide community. They have a monster burden already and barely cover expenses.

If you weren't [deleted] I would offer you all my subs so that I could just watch the fight to the death. Is the battle over how you define "better sub"?
