I think there is confusion about what "Freedom of speech" means. To me it means that everyone can have their say, without interrupting others.

Interrupting can include personal attacks, calling for violence, harassing and gaslighting.

The quality of everyone's opinion is better when they have no logical fallacies. Propaganda and media manipulation also have a lot of logical fallacies, so this may help to prevent them too. The debate pyramid can help with logical fallacies.

    I think that people don't understand what a high quality discussion means..

    For me it means that all opinions are treated equal. In most people's minds, it means that their personal opinion dominates. Also corporations want to push certain opinions onto people.

    In many cases, this means people project their psychological problems onto others. And I think that we would help them, by restricting them. If possible, in a friendly way.

      To be honest.....I think Snow has confused "Freedom of speech" with "Freedom of consequences from freedom of speech".

      Free speech has consequences. You cant just run into a sub, take a massive shit on their front desk, and then not expect to be attacked for it.

      Unfortunately....free speech also has people who run in and be disruptive. Thats the chaotic beauty of The Internet.

          According to this thread https://saidit.net/s/Sex/comments/1gqe/insular_incels/ both you and /u/JasonCarswell were banned from Incels for being disruptive i.e. Telling them the truth.

          I cant find the original threads because they were removed by a powerhungry moderator named darkness (who has been banned).

          That doesnt justify their actions, but Incels are insane and will find any excuse to attack anyone.

              I wouldn't call it disruptive. This was months and months ago, when the sub was first started. I quoted from Wikipedia, as I didn't know what Incels were about. I also gave a bit about me. They claimed I was bragging. I wasn't. I was just being sociable.

              I was banned. Then unbanned due to new policies, but did not engage. Then I discovered I'm banned again at some point since mid summer - for no reason given.

                This is a false dilemma. FALSE DILEMMA IS A LOGICAL FALLACY.

                The rules are posted and are reasonably explicit.

                Why would the admins create unnecessary or restrictive rules?

                  Although the pyramid does say that this is a punishable offence....they're allowed to run around and yell it, but you dont have to listen to them. Just block them.
