magnora7 likes to investigate conspiracy's and find out who the political elite are who run this world.

d3rr likes technology and investigating ideas about how communication and hardware can be used to improve society.

Those are their affiliations

Freedom Of Speech is their Ethnicity

Thank you, it's interesting to know more about their personal interests.

With all due respect, though, that's not what ethnicity means in my dialect. I would consider hobbies and interests to be affiliations of a sort, though.

[–]Tiwaking 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (13 children)

Ahh sorry. I was talking in Internet Speak

No one knows what their Ethnicity is and no one cares.

I care.

If you're going to be so nosy then:

They're both white and anti-Zionist.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

I'm just checking -- this is publicly available information? I know I could trawl through all of their comments to find out more about them myself, but, well, I was hoping someone else might already know and I wouldn't have to do that if I wanted to know.

And what does anti-Zionist mean, exactly? That they think Israel should not exist? That they think it's not really appropriate for Jews to have a strong political say in the governance of countries other than Israel?

[–]Tiwaking 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (8 children)

Im pro-Israel so...urr....I dont actually know what anti-Zionist really means.

magnora7's anti-Zionist stance is based around the theory that the world is run by a secret cabal and Zionism (aka Globalism) is one of the main powers behind the cabal.

d3rr's anti-Zionist stance is around Americas foreign policy towards Israel as a state, and the theory that the world is run by a secret cabal etc, etc.

This information is not publicly available. However, magnora7 has been on podcasts and is clearly white. d3rr lives in the pro-white / anti-anti-white forums on Reddit.

Both of them work on the Sabbath so they cant be Jews.

edit: Oh! They're also really busy with the site so it might take a while before they can reply, if they reply

I do? I'm sick to death of identity politics, aside from trying to learn a few things about race here and there. I think you'll see that 90% of my reddit time has been spent in /r/conspiracy.

[–]Tiwaking 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

According to the reddit post history that is linked on infogalactic page you argue against identity politics in the pro-white /anti-anti-white forums, which is awesome!

And yes, most of the time is spent in conspiracy, but that is understandable as even if a conspiracy were the truth then REDDIT WOULD BURY IT

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Why do you not like identity politics? Identity politics for my demographics, even when the interests of people like me aren't quite centered within the larger group, feels like it's helped me a lot.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

TPTB use identity politics to divide and conquer, to turn us all against each other. Some degree of identity is worthwhile, but we're in extreme identity politics territory lately. I'm just tired of it all personally.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Huh, ok. That's not what I expected. I saw some of magnora7's posts about disliking voat and anti-divide-and-conquer it seemed like he was against the white identity stuff in general, from that. At least that's what I'm used to seeing. I had assumed they probably weren't white.

They could still be non-observant Jews or have significant recent Jewish ancestry (like me), even if they work on the Sabbath.

And I guess I'm used to site admins not replying, Saidit is much smaller than I'm used to. I wasn't expecting a reply from them. But I guess I just wanted to give them the option to reply, as long as I'm talking about them, y'know?

eta: Are they really Tonkawan & Chilula like you said in the other post?

[–]Tiwaking 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

Hahah! No they are 100% not Tonkawa and Chilula! I was investigating American Indian Tribes and those were two that were quite interesting. When people ask you what your ethnicity is, most people will say "Asian" or "Indian" or "Black' or something like that. If you're given an Ethnicity that you've never heard of, how do you react?

magnora7 is not anti-white, but he's not a white supremacist either. The problem is, well as you may have noticed, that if you support being white then you might end up being grouped with white supremacists. Thats not right. Thats not right at all.

You can support being white without being a white supremacist in the same way you can support being black without being a member of the Black Panthers (or Black Hebrew Israelite's). Also, a lot of things which people propose as 'white identity' is sometimes not white identity at all.

However, I dont know about voat anyway. Voat is banned in my country.

I'll ping them too. /u/magnora7 /u/d3rr

I wonder if I'll get in trouble?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I wonder if I'll get in trouble?

haha! lol. I guess I'll learn something about Saidit if you do! I have no need to talk to them directly unless they're actually interested in that. I didn't want to bother them, just offer in case they were interested in addressing the question themselves.

And you never know, Dallas is somewhat near where the Tonkawans live or used to live.

If you are ever curious about accessing voat, you can use a Tor or a VPN or something, can't you? Or is that dangerous where you are? Or you're just not that motivated?

And it is frustrating about the everyone thinking you're a baddie bad person as soon as you try to advocate for white people. The only time I got actual literal death threats online was when I was enthusiastically encouraging white people to have white babies. I can see how people get scared -- I mean I assumed magnora7 was a non-pro-white non-white person just because of his reaction to voat, right? I've seen a lot of super violent content out there that I guess people associate me with. I just get an extreme amount of pushback in most spaces I've visited for even the most tepid and basic of stuff. And that's made me feel like I really am under threat as a part-white white-looking person, or whatever I am. And like my only realistic option is pro-white spaces, because every other space is a space it's not ok to encourage white people to have, love, and take good care of their own white children.

Anyway, it's time for me to go now. Maybe I'll get some interesting replies when I'm back. At any rate, thank you for the information. I hope you don't get in too much trouble :)

NICE FORUM SLIDING!!!

Nosy, aren't you? You're going to be one of those users who takes over the site to satisfy his curiosity instead of contributing content, I'm guessing. We already have a couple of those.

[–]Tiwaking 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Im just curious to find out what he says when he finds out one is Tonkawan and the other is Chilula.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

There are plenty of shills here who are tasked with undermining this site.

If Saidit gets popular enough then they'll try to make it out to be an anti-Semitic site, or the FBI will entrap some poor kid into some terrorism hoax, and then attempt blame the site for promoting violence, or similar bullshit.

This is the early data collection period. They're looking for opportunities for future schemes..

[–]Chipit 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Paranoia, eh? It's amusing you think the site is worth a hill of beans.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Amusing or not, the shills are here.

Apparently, they seem to find what's going on here interesting enough.

If someone asks for your Ethnicity on The Internet, just give them a weird one like Kwa or Chuukese or Lezgic. You could also give them your 介紹, pepeha, or 自己紹介 if you really want to confuse them.

I agree, you should make a statement.

But it seems this person is a veteran social media user who has already lost their previous home and wants to be sure that this place wont be burnt down and destroyed like the last one.

      [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Why do you dislike that? (And for clarity: I meant to ask, not push.)

      [deleted]

        [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

they didn't mention it from long time ago.

I only really know that nobody put it on the infogalactic page. I didn't search that much. I didn't know if they'd mentioned it before or not.

I do want to know. I also don't want anyone to reveal anything they don't want to reveal.

If you know their ethnicity, you might start to prejudge for many things, that's why many people don't want to talk about it on internet.

That makes sense. I don't say things about myself online sometimes too, for that reason.

I think it's relevant though, especially in a political context. I heard someone explain it this way (quoting loosely) -- "When Obama wants to do something for the black community in the USA, it's obvious that he's part of that community, and that things that benefit black people also benefit him, his family, his children, etc. People get upset sometimes when people point out "that person is Jewish," but it's simply relevant in the same way. If you don't know that they're Jewish, you don't understand that they have the same sort of personal interest in US foreign policy towards Israel, criminalization of negative sentiment towards Jews, criminalization of participation in the anti-Israel BDS movement, etc."

This is one of the reasons I consider it important to disclose my own non-white ethnicity when discussing pro-white politics. Does it change the way people look at me and how they treat me? Yeah, and I think that's all normal and appropriate.

People might disagree with me about it being relevant, that's fine. I don't feel the need to change anyone's mind about this. I did want to go ahead and say something about why it matters to me here, though, since most people who replied seem to think there is no good reason to look for and share this kind of information.

        ethnicity & affiliations?! seriously?!

Surely our public post and comment history spanning years says more about us than our "ethnicity".

In 1800 I would have been considered non-white and discriminated against in the US, but in 2019 I'm considered white.

Edit: I also think this post is hugely illustrative of the downside of centralized platforms. Help us to federate reddit and we'll all be in a better place.

        [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I feel I ought to thank you for the reply, but I still don't really understand the negative attitude towards the question. Maybe I don't need to, that's ok, but I do find it somewhat confusing. Although less confusing now that I see that you were not quite accurately represented by the other user trying to describe your stances on things.

I also think this post is hugely illustrative of the downside of centralized platforms. Help us to federate reddit and we'll all be in a better place.

You mean that it's illustrative of the downside of centralization because it means people need to make sure the central node is honest and safe for them (motivation for questions like my OP)?

Are you all planning to make SaidIt decentralized? (note: I don't understand decentralization technology very well yet)

        [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I still don't really understand the negative attitude towards the question

It's in poor taste to ask for personal information which has seemingly nothing to do with anything. Asking for personal information at all is pretty sketchy. Thus the common retort "nice try FBI". If I wanted to be on facebook, I'd be there and not on a reddit clone.

You mean that it's illustrative of the downside of centralization because it means people need to make sure the central node is honest and safe for them (motivation for questions like my OP)?

Yes. It's no good when a potential failure point for 20k people is 1 or 2 people. This has been the standard model, but it doesn't need to be this way. For example PeerTube and Mastodon don't have single points of failure.

Are you all planning to make SaidIt decentralized?

Yes, it's more of a goal than a plan at this point, it's a long ways out. If a nice decentralized reddit platform came out though, we'd also consider switching to it.

        [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's in poor taste to ask for personal information which has seemingly nothing to do with anything.

Well I guess that sense of "poor taste" might be different for different groups, but it sounds like you already understand my perspective to some degree if you can recognize that it's related to issues of centralization.

At any rate, like I said I never meant to demand a response, but is nice to get one so I feel I ought to say thank you.
