Degenerate language would be when people mispronounce or misspell words. I guess 'soy' would be a jargon word if anything.

Also, if enough stupid people accept it: Then the dictionary will add the new term https://www.lexico.com/en/grammar/old-and-new-forms

The best example of degenerate language would be txt speak.
