I'm not here because I don't like reddit, I'm here because I don't like the way they treated me and others. If the official policy is to keep content policy ill defined, and ban at will, I guess it's been nice chatting. I'll be waiting on that 5 dollar check my friend.

I got to say I do feel let down though. I fought during r/fatpeoplehate and was lied too, so I decided to start trying to fight for saidit. I feel rather lied too again. Maybe I should just stop putting my faith in others? Honestly all I want is a website with a constitution where admins can be held accountable for their actions. When reddit apologized for banning FPH I felt so proud to be a part of that. I actually really did try to move various users here, as well as contribute a bit. Now it seems I was the asshole.

i empathize with you. i have often wished that we have a well/legally defined policy for everything, but we don't. this pyramid thing is an experiment in site policy. if you want to get technical though, m7 did give you a number.

I don't really care at all what the rule is, I care that its clearly written, and publicized. I think a lot of people wouldn't have joined, or will move away if magnora7 makes it clear that he has a ban at will policy in place. I criticized that his wording is incredibly unclear, his response was

We cannot have a site outing high-level pedophiles, while simultaneously allowing public sexualization of children on the site.

Basically used the same words I had just said I found unclear.

You realize there is no level of clarification where the rules are "totally" clear, right? We could write 1000 pages of rules, but then no one would read it, and there would still be unclear things. We have short brief rules with the intent people will actually read them and they'll be applied. Over-explaining the rules is counter-productive to the application of the existing rules for this reason.

Rules need interpreting to apply them to specific situations which are always unique in the real world, that's the reason judges exist.

Just post quality things! Like d3rr said we don't do instabans, so if you run afoul of the rules, we'll let you know and give you another chance. Everyone gets 3 strikes on saidit. Just do your best to post quality things and I'm sure it'll be fine.

      As someone that used to study Torah and interpretations for 8 hours a day, yes yes I do. I'd be happy to give further opinions, but I'm going to assume you aren't interested? I agree covering every possible scenario would be impossible, I just think you're making an appeals to extreme logical fallacy, or to phrase it differently "We can't make rules to cover every scenario where we would warn or ban, so why should we have a written rules list at all?"

      There's no shortage of places to post my thoughts online, you have competition. If I'm alone in thinking you have gone too far to have a major rule described in half a sentence then so be it. All the best to you.

      I do want to make a post on s/incels about my concerns, and alternatives to consider for the few of us that remain. As of right now my post will be about not trusting you to protect us as I think you failed to protect pedo speech despite making promises you would imo. I'm aware you don't think you did anything wrong, and if I'm crazy no one of value will be lost anyway.

      i think this means that even if it's legal in the US or elsewhere, it's not permitted on saidit.
