To answer that question you'd have to know why people are posting on reddit and the more populated alternatives, and then provide the things people post for or things of equal value

The more we use saidit, the more we comment and post and interact, the more it will be attractive for an outsider to join. I occasionally lurk here. The problem is, there just isn't enough new material or discussion. Who wants to be the only commenter on a thread?

Once there are a decent number of comments on a thread, then others will be incentivized to join in the conversation. 21000 people is not a large enough community, especially if most of them joined and didn't come back after a week.

I would personally post more threads but it feels like I'm spamming if I post 3 threads in a day that get no traction but there are 23|20 upvoted threads with a bunch of comments.
