How can Saidit attract more users?

I just wish there were more alternatives to reddit with huge user bases.

Can we get an autobot sending messages to people on reddit every time one of their posts is deleted?

A federated alternative might do it.

To answer that question you'd have to know why people are posting on reddit and the more populated alternatives, and then provide the things people post for or things of equal value

The more we use saidit, the more we comment and post and interact, the more it will be attractive for an outsider to join. I occasionally lurk here. The problem is, there just isn't enough new material or discussion. Who wants to be the only commenter on a thread?
Once there are a decent number of comments on a thread, then others will be incentivized to join in the conversation. 21000 people is not a large enough community, especially if most of them joined and didn't come back after a week.

I would personally post more threads but it feels like I'm spamming if I post 3 threads in a day that get no traction but there are 23|20 upvoted threads with a bunch of comments.

That's the thing.
The types of peeps attracted to a niche like saidit full of nut jobs is thankfully few.

Just post in reddit subs how saidit.net is a free speech alternative in subs which abuse free speech (AKA as almost all of them). I have seen a lot of positive feedback from users who are unaware this site exists.
use the following search parameters to narrow your results:
e.g. sub:pics site:imgur.com dog
sub:pics site:imgur.com dog
advanced search: by author, sub...
~2 users here now
This is Saidit's main sub for things related to the saidit.net website itself.
