No corporations, no political shills, no apologists and PR people. No social manipulation by paid interests.

These interests have actually been here for some time. They're having a difficult time with the dual upvoting system, as it's a tough nut to crack.

You can be 100% they're here lurking, and if something is politically/economically significant enough then they will attempt to steer the direction of the conversation. Some of them are also fairly active.

Fortunately for us, information cannot be easily suppressed without down voting.

At first the lack of downvoting bothered me, but as time progresses, the benefit seems obvious.

You get used to seeing troll posts after a while. The Reddit refugees will struggle at first with it, but the Voat refugees are already desensitized.
