Holy shit I think saidit might revive IRC back from the dead (if saidit gets more popular). Thanks for opening it up to external servers.

Whats the 3rd server for? Just a backup?

There is the main server, which has most everything.

Then there is the irc server, which will be at irc.saidit.net

Then 3rd server will act as a proxy server for the main server for media content. It will also host thelounge, which is our IRC chat software that runs in-page

This will protect us by compartmentalizing the different functions, as well as providing necessary proxy services which mask our IP.

We'd love to help IRC make a comeback.

I seriously hope that you are lying as misdirection. You don't tell people your backend config in a public channel. You've just handed the next bad actor a script.

This level of explanation isn't too revealing, and our users deserve transparency as many of their donations paid for our servers, so they deserve to know what they're paying for.
