Saidit shouldn't be a copycat of Reddit, the voting system is so to avoid creating echo chambers where unpopular opinions are sent down to bottom.

If Saidit would bring nothing new to the table, why bother leaving Reddit?

      Why are you guys trying to be different, youre not going to grow your site by doing stuff like this. People come here because they were kicked off reddit and when they see the voting system is completely different they get turned off and go to a different site. The way reddit is setup is perfect, you dont need to make changes.

      DISAGREEMENT, DOES NOT = the AMOUNTS OF DOWNVOTES. Disagreement means I disagree with your assessment or viewpoint and so I must counter your view with logic and critical thinking. You must do the same. This isn't reddit. Not having a downvote does not = censorship. Actually, it serves the opposite purpose.

      This site should definitely be a reddit copycat, the main reason people go to this site is because of reddit censorship. The voting system on this site is garbage, downvoting is a very important feature.

      Downvoting is what's contributing to the shit state Reddit is in, views that don't adhere to the typical Reddit hive mind get mass downvoted into oblivion. Regardless, I'd rather put up with this voting system as opposed to biased admins and echo chambers that push bullshit narratives.

      instead of describing something as garbage, which isn't insightful or easy to understand, will you please explain, in a constructive or educational matter:

      why it's a problem for you with evidence that many people have the same problem with this, if there's any

      what makes you believe in such a thing, with evidence of the problem to prove your point,

      consider any pros and cons to your solution

      and explain reasonable solutions that may be proven from successful platforms?

      Also see if this 'issue' you believe is actually something that is a better.

      So far, from what I've seen, there's not a lot of complaints and most likely those who don't like it simply aren't comfortable with new design or features and may be blind to the benefits of the idea, especially to prevent more problems in the future
