Should there be an archive function for old posts on Saidit?

But then couldn't someone vandalise or spam a really old post that could be historic or something?

And if it is spammed or vandalised then the mods and users wouditn really care of do anything about it.

I mean they can post more, and add more votes, but that's the worst they can do. They can't really diminish the existing content, especially with no downvote
