The Assassins get unfairly treated by history. Their way of war was to sneak in and kill the elites responsible for starting the war. The people were not harmed.

You can see why they'd make history display them as monsters. No, it is you deplorables job to run out and get killed for them. They themselves be personally threatened by starting a war? That's not how it works, hillbilly. That method of war is deeply problematic.
