Title basically. There's no proof, and actually at least one naysayer on Reddit, but I can't help but think that getting people to bookmark a website on their Chrome browser would be a benefit since we all know Google reads and stores all data connected to a Google product, and more people bookmarking a site on Chrome shows that this site is what people like.
