And now they're probably plotting on how to stop all these good things for the working class.

Or incorporate that need in to the design of their control systems. They seem to be leaning toward UBI. Which I think is a good idea in some ways, but I can also see people becoming completely dependent on it and losing the skills necessary to make a living without it, creating an underclass with no skills.

my guess is their plan is to introduce UBI, get us used to it, then take it away.
