First the Al Quaeda boogey man. Then it's gone.

Then the ISIS boogey man comes out of nowhere. Except for this time the boogey man is equipped with expert social media and PR outlets.
They're taking videos of beheadings, and executions; all maximal shock and awe. ISIS was going to get us!

Do you seriously believe that these are randomly assembled bandits? Bandits with PR and propaganda?

Bandits with PR and propaganda?

Neither of those are hard, btw. Most of their "propaganda" came from the media hype; you should be focussing on that if anything. That's easily explained by news organisations either being:

  • sensationalist; or
  • not wanting to be the only ones not reporting

though.
