He makes a good point. However he is technically wrong about it being a mistranslation. A more literal translation is "So all as much as you would want people to do to you, also do this to them. For this is the law and the prophets". But clearly this is assuming people want others to do good things to them. Also: could, should, would, and might are all expressed as the same form of verb in both Hebrew and Greek. So technically it could be any of those, but I don't really think "should want" makes any sense, and it doesn't drive home the point of "love your neighbor as yourself" as strongly.
