Those are Peruvian indigenous tribespeople worshipping Mother Earth. The actual earth that sustains us.

There is nothing to do with paganism there, or satan, and I think it's nice that there are Catholics who can maintain a modicum of respect for other cultures' world views.

As I stated before, Im not a Catholic. But this pope is pile driving his religion out of existence.

  1. Its an idol.
  2. Ten Commandments Rule 1: לא יהיה־לך אלהים אחרים על־פני
  3. Ten Commandments Rule 2: לֹא-תַעֲשֶׂה לְךָ פֶסֶל, וְכָל-תְּמוּנָה

Pope is Satan.

Christ is waiting for each of us to find our way back to him.

It's a symbolic representation of Mother earth. Offering respect to a symbol is done all the time in the church. (Communion, the crucifix, etc) I'm not Catholic either.

The leap to "Pope is Satan" is farfetched, in my opinion.

The dictum to not worship idols is widely misunderstood. The Buddhists put it better when they say not to mistake the finger pointing to the moon for the moon.

maybe. instead, perhaps, we should stick with the 'pope is the antichrist' assessment which seems to be the std opinion on teh internets. here he is, the tongue of the serpent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwUQXUiqYcU
