i want to get a hair transplant, but for black people they can't redo your hairline. no point of fixing my bald spot if my hairline is still all the way behind my ears.

Ever thought of just doing the bald head shave? Black people usually look way better than white people with that look for some reason. Kobe Bryant and Tupac didn't look any worse with shaved heads

i shave my head once a week, but my hair is so dark that you can still see exactly where im balding. lots of bald youtubers cover this, they call it the "bald shadow" you can see the ring where your hair wont grow. And that's still really embarrassing. if there was no shadow, i'd rock a bald head. instead, i own 2 baseball caps and 3 beanies to cover my head and I wear my hood on in the gym.

I see, yeah I neglected to consider that hair grows back awfully quickly

I think its more dependent on the availability region, rate of hair loss, type of treatment, cost and how far you wish to go to get one. Prices could range from 4000-20000USD in western countries. I know that there are places in Turkey that offer hair transplant at a cheaper price (from what I vaguely remember).

From what I have read hair transplants are permanent, this is due to the fact that hair around the back of the head which is used for the transplant are not effected by DHT similar to that of body hair. Di-HydroTestosterone (DHT) is the main cause of hair loss on the top of the head, but hairs that are not effected by this hormone are used and therefore should not fall out.

If you can afford it, I recommend you go ahead.

I could count on 2 hands the amount of people I know who went to Turkey for hair transplants. That seems to be the place.

Do you know if you can run out of hair to transplant if your bald area is big enough?

If you can afford it, I recommend you go ahead.

not yet, but I'll rather pay once in the future instead of continually for Fin, especially since I'd need the transplant anyway

Thats a good question. It is possible to not have enough hair from the back of the head for a transplant to fully cover the top. while this is true, from what I understand it is possible to have a hair transplant with hairs from other parts of the body, like chest hair though this may depend on the people who do it.
