Your hobbies are things that can be enjoyed alone, for their own sake, and as an adult. People watch movies by themselves and discuss them online. This doesn't work for the latest blockbusters, but try a Kubrick or Lynch film. It's the same with music. People don't collect LPs just so they can listen to them with their wives. There's a game I was very much into a few years ago, to the point I paid less attention to women. I loved the challenge of trying to win in tournaments, that's what occupied my mind. And do you see your cat as an object? People love their pets without any reference to what kind of status they get from them. Also, I don't see where you get the idea that any of these hobbies are for teenagers. If you don't enjoy your hobbies, maybe you should look for different ones.
I think you compare yourself too much to others. You don't know what life's like for them, the grass is always greener on the other side. Take people's comment that they don't have much time. Many of them probably wish had more time for hobbies, or time away from their wife who isn't into the same things.
If you're happy in your own person (which you can be), you won't be envious of others. You'll be more likely to be happy for them. When I interact with my friends' children, they're experiences I'm grateful for. I'm happy I can have interaction with children without having any myself. To be honest, that's probably the big difference between us, I've never really wanted to have children. But when I see people kiss or walk hand in hand, I don't get jealous of that either.

I am fine with my hobbies and they are enjoyable, problem is that I also want to socialize, but it's not something that I can do - it requires not only me to want it. I'm just saying, that none of those activities that I do is leading anywhere closer to that.
