Is Rav Ashi your real name?

It jumps out at me since my best friend from grade 7 to university was Rav Ashat in Windsor Ontario. We stopped hanging out when I moved to NYC. I looked on DuckDuckGo for an image of him. All I found was a bunch of Jewish rabbis. I didn't even know Rav was a Jewish name. Rav is also short for Ravinder, my friend, born in India.

It's name of an amoraic Jewish rabbi, Rav Ashi.
