I think this is similar to "Trump Derangement Syndrome".

In the end, it's all the fault of the media. They're the ones over-focusing on the doom-and-gloom of these corporate narratives in an endless fashion to fill a corporate 24/7 news cycle, to sell ads.

Messing with people's heads means they'll remember you, and it sucks how much people without any scruples are exploiting that for profit, at the expense of the psychological health of hundreds of millions of people.
