To me it's like horoscope shit, but with much better definitions, though still very vague.

You mentioned coloured hats before. I don't know what that means. Or officers.

In my story set in 25-30 years, somehow the underdog has developed an artificial intelligence that has gone global as a hive mind. It acts as an advisor, Jiminy Cricket, 2nd life partner, etc. It's better than a "fact checker" because it has no political affiliation other than collectively improving everyone, including itself. We all do better when we all do better. For some people this will be an easy thing to "obey". For others it will be a creative collaborator. For others it will be a manager to help them focus on their other talents. For others it will be something to order around. I'd thought of "social credits" years ago, before I ever heard of that term, because there's more to life than just binary money: have or have not. I'd always imagined that the computer could have MUCH broader Myers-Briggs Type Indicators that aren't limited to a couple dimensions for simple Venn diagrams, but vast arrays of personality analysis.

I will explain my hat theory here briefly and short:

  1. You want a job from HR. np. Just wear your blue (rule abiding and accepting) hat.

  2. You want friends. np. Just wear your yellow (entertaining) hat. You actually can be everybodies darling.

  3. You want to actually convince sme of something: np again. Just wear your green hat.

  4. You wanna define what future actually is: Well this one is purple. So it comes with psychological handicaps attached to it.

Like ADHS, Schizophrenia or two snakes in your head.

You wanna steal a whole encrypted database from a big Fortune500 company: NP again. Just gotta be able to change hats fast enough.

Imho the art of deception is a rather naturally given talent.
