I have a handheld AM/FM radio with flashlight. It doesn't have the weather channel, but it has a hand crank that in about twenty seconds of cranking will power both the radio and the flashlight. Are these available in the US? It's made by Sony and costs around US $40. It's probably on Amazon like everything else. Tell 'em I sent ya.

thanks! i hate amazon! :-) im cash only... couldnt find the combined thing in my area. but i do have a crank lamp + batteries and solar too. once i install a wood stove and a new chimney i will be all set

I also hate Amazon, but am forced to use it sometimes. A potbellied stove will heat a big room, as I'm sure you know. I have credit cards for convenience, but they are paid off automatically every month, so no debt for the banksters.
