Sad really, I responded to a global warming post on facebook with why don't we go after the needless global shipping industry first, instead of taxing common people. I described how we could rebuild micro, and cottage industries again.

The response I got was shut up, and basically that once 'they' are in power, the new green deal will be implemented for 'our own good', and we will comply, as we're not 'able to decide what's best for ourselves'.

I really felt somewhat rebuffed by such a forward reply, it felt very draconian, and is staying in my mind.
