I'm going to read the article, but wow!
That honestly looks like a computer generated picture. It seems AI created or photoshopped/airbrushed at the least.

THey are always doing weird stuff to the photos of ethnic people to try to make them look more respectable to white readers, the photos of the mexican dudes are always overexposed to make them look lighter, so yeah, I wouldnt be surprised

I guess you're probably right. That's insane. But I mean, overexposing is one thing, take a close look at his poor nose. The nostrils are facing one another. I don't think that's anything but bad mirror editing.

He's right though, it looks like a complete CGI.
