Holy shit

I am trying to figure out what he actually did. I know he and his wife had a three-way with a friend who was way too intoxicated to consent, legally at least. I know about this raunchy semen accusation.

Is that it, though? That crap warrants a 100-year sentence?

Court documents describe incidents in which Dennis Perkins used his position as a cop to film up the skirts and down the shirts of women he would pull over. It also details over five terabytes of encrypted data containing videos of horrifying acts with children including Cynthia holding down a small child while Dennis raped her.

100 years is lenient.

I don't see why taxpayers should shell out 6 figures a year to keep this subhuman garbage alive

Cynthia holding down a small child while Dennis raped her.

That is a detailed accusation I haven't seen in other sources- at least, not so bluntly. I don't doubt Dennis is what most people would quite fairly call a monster, nor that his conduct met all the legal elements of the charges he pled guilty to, but this claim is simultaneously so outlandish and short on specifics that I'm inclined to believe it's misleading.

I'm speaking somewhat from personal knowledge of the people who live in the area, and work in law enforcement there, e.g. that Hosanna Church crap. Definitely an element of "boy who cried wolf" there.

They say the jury had to watch the video, I'm not surprised they didn't want to graphically describe this in vivid detail in the article

Read the article?

Pretty sure I've read all of the articles about this case, at one point or another. I keep waiting to stumble on the specific offense that's so heinous as to merit a life sentence and I guess it's the semen thing? I can't see where this clown (nor his wife) truly molested a child or perpetrated any act of obvious violence.

I actually lived pretty close to that part of the country, and there are a lot of molesters per capita there, but there's also a real tendency for McMartin Preschool-style hysteria, viz. the Hosanna Church incident of circa 2005. That was pretty damned sensational at the start but eventually got whittled down into not much of anything.

  • ask for why the long sentence
  • gets told
  • doesn't like the answer
  • claims to have not seen it yet

We have been told what statutes he broke. We have not been told what he did.

If I told you "John Q. Cuck was convicted of negligent homicide," do you have any clue what he actually did? Could be anything.

It says they were producing child porn for some kind of "group".

But now that you mention it that does sound suspicious considering no other people were charged.

The media has proven itself untrustworthy, and this is very suspiciously written. Very sensationalist and very few details.

That's kind of what I was trying to articulate.

Pedo-cop is also big buddies with the Parish Sheriff. That guy is Teflon. Nothing seems to stick. Probably made all sorts of promises to pedo-cop to grease the wheels here. No way pedo-cop winds up at Angola.
