Cops should be held to a higher standard of conduct than citizens, not a lower one.

There needs to be a much bigger focus on de-escalation in training, and a much harsher punishment system for abuse of power.

Also I saw some US state just made it illegal for cops to get hired by another precinct if they get fired, which is good, because a lot of misconduct just moves around to other precincts, and that needs to end. A cop who seriously abuses cop powers should be banned for life from ever being a cop again.
