How is that misconduct? dude had a gun, not the cops fault he was to retarded to use it after he pulled it out.

I get this isn't the most compelling story, but possessing a gun and even fleeing does not justify summary execution. We don't want these Judge Dredd cops running around. They should only escalate force when necessary to arrest people. It is outside of police purview to determine guilt or innocence, and supposedly (although not in any meaningful way) everyone is considered innocent until proven guilty.

So... That's a dead innocent kid that the cop didn't have to shoot.

When someone pulls a gun, weather or not they are running away or toward you make no difference. Once you pull out the gat, you become a threat weather your 3 yrs old or 83 yrs old. At what point does it become justified, once the kid stops running wastes a cop? A cops job is to prevent and neutralize threats to public safety, id say a kid running or bicycling around with a gat is a pretty big threat to public safety don't you think?

Bicycling around with a gun is not illegal everywhere, depends on where this happened. I think that's where we're looking at this differently. You see having the gun as a threat, whereas I'm glad no cop shot me when I was a kid just for having a firearm.

Of course growing up kids were permitted to bring their gun racks to school anyways.

I'm totally pro gun, that being said there's nothing wrong with a gun but the person who has it is usually the problem. The gun wasn't THE threat, the kid who is running away from the cops who thought it would be a legitimately good idea to pull out a gun during a foot pursuit was the threat. That's why context matters, the cops didn't in broad daylight walk up to some kid who was concealed carrying and waste him for it. kid didn't have a light on his bike at night, cops pull him over because he is a hazard to himself and others on roadway, cops want info on kid which is standard procedure( possibly was going to offer kid a ride since no light on bike) I wouldn't let just some kid on the back of my car without knowing who they are. it never gets that far cause kid kicks it like usain bolt running to a UN water truck before cops can even talk with him, as he is running away from le cop pulls out his little friend, but before he can turn around and pull a couple of shots at le cops, gay tripping ensues and cop witnesses brandished gat and waste gay tripping kid.
