In my town they recommended us to be accompanied by a man when we go out at night because some street thefts took place, a man to protect me from what? another man? How about if all you men were thought from early on to stay home at night. If all men stayed home at night, there wouldn't be any safety problems for women on the streets. If men really wanted to protect women there wouldn't be a need for a man to accompany me on the street. It's just bullshit, men like to inflate their ego by playing the "protector" when they're the biggest danger to women. They're fake and ridiculous.

Who is more willing to make a change? Victims or perpetrators?

If someone is already breaking the law (as we are all taught at a young age to follow) what would telling them from a young age to stay home do exactly? Obviously teaching them to abide by law didn't work so why would teaching them anything else work? People who want to break the law will, moving the goal post only applies to law abiding.

I agree with the rest though. It would be better to advice women to conceal carry/pepper spray or learn defense training so we can protect ourselves not depend on someone else for protection.

"It won't work so let's not do it."

How about we try it, eh? Clearly, men violating curfew would be suspect, yes? Standing out like a sore thumb? Men who can prove staying home are proved innocent.

But, NO. Much more convenient, for men, to have the burden on women.

Do men tell other men this shit? I doubt it.

I think the ideal goal would be having both groups being able to freely move around in day time and night time yes?

How about instead of women being told to stay home they are taught self defense and given means of defense? Not only would this solve the walking at night problem it would also solve domestic violence and general violence against women. Most perpetrators seek vulnerable people as victims if you cut down women's vulnerability many areas improve.

Or are you too focused on revenge instead of actually solving the problem?

Ah yes the ultimate determinant of a won debate. Ad hominem.
