I called my mom this morning to vent about my neighbors who are twenty-something year old men who had been doing skateboard flips and ollies all morning. Skateboards are really frickin loud. Anyhow, my mom begs me not to tell them anything because they can get violent.

My mom also doesn't like me going places by myself or being out too late because a violent man might attack me. She doesn't like me confronting men without some other man accompanying me.

Now here is the kicker. She is always asking about my dating life. She even prays that I find a husband. I just don't understand women who automatically associate violence with men but still hope you end up with a man for the rest of your life.
