Since magnetic materials have microcurrents can these currents be extracted as an electricity source?

Sure, use the magnetic force to cause mechanical movement, then convert that to electricity via an alternator, voila! presto change-o!

What "microcurrents" do you mean?
The currents that maintain static magnetic fields are locked in the crystal structure.
They disappear as soon the material is heated (above Curie temperature).
And it costs energy to get them magnetic again |(via a strong external magnetic field)..
