Probably because people who didn’t present the respiratory symptons when they are admitted to hospital because the virus attacked other major organs instead, are being labelled asymptomatic for covid-19 so when they die because the virus wreaked havoc with their liver or kidney or heart causing organ failure they are not recorded as a covid-19 death.
