I have been playing AC Valhalla and I was surprised my Ubisoft account was gone. I didn't have any games on it but there were old points and perks and things. Guess that explains that.

Anytime you don't have a locally workable copy of something, you don't own it.

I don't know if they still do it, but Comcast did the exact same thing as Ubisoft. Any videos you "bought," are gone if you go a year without an active account. That's not really buying something.

Oh and my Apple music is all gone on a personal note. That was a waste.

I wish I could erase those stupid fucking video games from history.

They serve a purpose.

Yea, lobotomize kids.

I play games. A lot. I have a physical disability or more depending how you count it / them, and I can do basically nothing all day. Strategy games help me retain a modicum of concentration, shooter games help me keep my CNS response time close to normal, etc.

So while I agree that they can be and often are toxic to kids, let's not forget that PARENTS don't have time to care for said kids and that is a major reason why games are abused in such a way.

Nothing is ever so simple that you can point at one thing and say, yeah, THAT is the cause. Even Jews. They use people's weakness, so the people are partly responsible for what the Jews do to them.

Favorite games? And platforms?

I play on PC and play pretty much everything ( have over 1,000 games on Steam ) except twitch-reflex shooters. I'm just too old and sick for those.

On Steam I have 5k hours in Civ V and Civ VI, 1K in Borderlands 2 and presequel, and about 800 in all the Half Life games. Drops off pretty rapidly from there, down to a bunch of games I haven't even opened.

Started playing Minecraft a few weeks after Notch started dev in 2009, and probably have more than a year in game.

Out of all the games on the PS4, GTA V is way ahead, with RDR2 and DayZ as 2 and 3. Mainly play GTA online, but in a single player session via the lowered MTU. Am only a 199 at 50 days, as I didn't transfer my PS3 character over.

Twisted Insurrection is a critically acclaimed, standalone modification based on the Command & Conquer™ Tiberian Sun™ engine.

Shattered Paradise is an expansion for Tiberian Sun on OpenRA - https://www.moddb.com/mods/shattered-paradise

If you like the old Command and Conquer games, these are pretty easy to install, with single player and multi online. Quite a few other games too.

Strategy-wise, I thoroughly enjoy Endless Legends and the Crusader Kings series. I tried many times getting into Civ but I just can't. I think it's because it uses nations that HAVE existed, but puts them completely out of context. I've been replaying XCOM a lot, and the Mount & Blade games are simply ENDLESS fun to me, although that's got a lot of action in it.

I've played a lot of Galactic Civilizations III but it quickly turns into a completely unnecessary clickfest, which they have never fixed, so I gave up on that even though I wasn't done with the game. Maybe GC IV, which is Early Access on Epic, will be better.

I used to be a big counter-strike players (from 1999 to 2017 or so) but I'm done with that. I have enjoyed such highly stressful games in the past, including Playerunknown's Battleground and dying light, but I can't stomach them anymore. I'm worried about a heart attack.

But I can do DayZ. That and Hunt: Showdown are pretty much my maximum stress level. That latter title is one of my favorite games at the moment but I hardly ever play because my usual partner isn't available to play anymore for whatever reason.

I used to have a server for a game awhile back, but it was all adults, except for maybe 1 or 2 kids under 40. Pretty fun times.

A limited number and type of game is probably okay for young kids, but you'd really have to be picky, and limit their play time. They should spend most of their time in the real world.

Or just don't play them? lol
