I've seen this argument throughout the arts.

Black people don't come because they don't feel welcome.

I've gotten very many free tickets for shows targeted at black people which then didn't sell enough seats so it suits me.

I've seen black actors tearing their hair out because they can't get their own families to take an interest in theater and they will only go to see stuff their relative is in.

The plain fact is that theater and concert going and is part of European culture and you can't force other people to enjoy it just because you view it as a high status activity you want a piece of.

For instance when asked their favourite activity 50% of londoners said going to the theater. This just isn't normal behaviour across the world.
