The flaw with conservatives is that almost by definition, they with to preserve how it is or how it recently was. Functionally conservatives are vigorously trying to stop the slide into eventual socialism/communism. It has rarely been a successful strategy, but when successful, it tends to create a golden age.

Better than conservatism in my humble opinion, is human liberty. A system now called voluntaryism suits me best. Google it some time. But it is very unlikely, so off to socialism we go. It is already an oligarchy. America has never experienced real freedom, and it never will as it has few proponents and ittle underpinnings in popular literature. Was raised in a conservative household and was surrounded almost entirely by the same. Son of a Marine Drill Instructor. But before my teens, I started thinking about the words people were using. Everybody would talk the talk, but nobody walked the walk. But being a friendly guy, I'll ask for your forgiveness if I misunderstand your terminology. That plus, please define your terms. Defining of terms settles many disagreements. I'm all ears, and I thank you in advance for taking time to correct me in my obvious errors.
