There are no "conservatives," "liberals," or "leftists." Those labels are nonsense, just like that article. Here is a bit of fairly recent history: in 1964, Barry Goldwater, an avowed conservative Republican, ran for president against Democrat Lyndon Baines Johnson. Throughout the campaign the media kept portraying Goldwater as a hawk and saying he would have the US in a war within two years. LBJ won and in less than eighteen months the admittedly fake Gulf of Tonkin Incident was all over the news and The Vietnam War was on. A Democrat war that killed 58,000 Americans and about two million SE Asians—nobody even knows exactly. Some people, including some of LBJ's friends from Texas, made a lot of money. There was still a military draft until almost the end of the war so US kids nineteen and twenty were getting sent over to be killed or have some limbs blown off. In '73 Henry F. Kissinger made a deal and all the GIs went home. In the US the war was declared over. But it wasn't over. The South Vietnamese fought and died until '75 when NVA troops walked into Saigon.

There are no conservatives or liberals, just rich and poor, living and dead. That article was written by some deranged, social-engineered wannabe "journalist," one of those idiots who are being paid by the rich to burn and loot. The globalists have sucked the US dry and don't need it or want it anymore. That writer doesn't get it. He/she believes the old conservative/liberal/leftist paradigm will just go on after these fires go out. No, it's over for good and it ain't comin' back. So try to elect your half-wit candidate and see what happens—the same thing whichever wins. You should be learning how to plant a garden.

Negative. It was Peace With Honor in '72 and US troops withdrew. The Communists solemnly promised not to invade. Then in 1975 the boiled across the border like the Nazis into Poland.

There are no conservatives or liberals, just rich and poor, living and dead.

Numerous studies confirm there are different kinds of humans, with different kinds of brains, who our culture calls left and right. It's replicable science, unlike much of the social sciences these days.

Jonathan Haidt has an interesting talk on TED on where differences from liberals and conservatives originate from. http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/jonathan_haidt_on_the_moral_mind.html

Uh, the US is the globalist power base. They're just going to trash aircraft carrier groups in favor of...what exactly? Where do they plan on going?

You'd better check again. The NVA killed so many S. Vietnamese between '73 and '75. When they got to Saigon, the whole city was emptied and everyone went to "reeducation" camps. I've been to Saigon several times and heard the stories from the soldiers themselves. But I understand your not knowing since it is not discussed in the US.

The communists solemnly promised to stop the war after US troops left. No invasion of the south. Peace in our time. There was a treaty and everything.

Check out this book: Ninh, Bao: The Sorrow of War, 1993. He was an NVA soldier and his book is part fact and part dream sequences. Or you could go to Saigon and talk to people who are in their seventies. Don't try to record them or take photos of them or they won't talk. Just offer to buy an old man a few beers and let him talk. People and nations don't always keep their promises, especially Henry Kissinger. He knew the NVA and Viet Cong were still in the south and he knew full well what they would do after the Americans left. Kissinger left South Vietnam to twist slowly in the wind.

I am curious as to where you got your information about what happened between '73 and '75. Was it from a professor or from books? Do you remember the names of any of the books?

It was a big shock for me too when I found out that my country had perpetuated a massive lie, but that's what they did. They lied their asses off and the war was just a way for a few rich men to get richer. I'm going to find the link on Amazon and put it in this comment.

Here you go: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=bao+ninh+the+sorrow+of+war&i=stripbooks-intl-ship&crid=3ODNT9HXT0YVR&sprefix=Bao+Ni%2Caps%2C315&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_6

Some of the other books on that page might be of help. It's no big secret anymore but I have talked to a couple of profs online who believe the lie completely.

You mean the communists lied? No way. They gave their word of honor.

Surely, you are joking.

But Henry Kissinger was a master diplomat. He wouldn't make a treaty that he knew would be broken.

All right, I am done with this. You do not have a twelve-year-old child; you are a twelve-year-old child who is an asshole.
