it doesn't sound like much but it's 10 to 15x our normal traffic. and it turns out that CloudFlare does not give you rate limiting for free. it is unclear if it was a DOS attack vs. just getting a ton of traffic out of nowhere. after today and mmastreams I think it is both at once.
