I had never really thought much about the nature of private schools until recently.
There are definitely things being taught in public school now that I do not agree with. Furthermore, I don't think the current education system actually fosters learning, skillbuilding, or teaching of how the world really functions.
How many adults did I go to school with that don't even understand how the taxes they pay work? (How they are calculated, where does the money go, how to get tax returns/deductions) They throw their hands up and give it to someone else. "Beyond me!"
Or simpler: credit card debt and why it's bad to take on.
Why do I know about the affairs of 4 European kings and not have a clue what a mortgage is or what the process is like?
Anyway,
I can see the importance now of a school that passes on the values you want to your child. Actual knowledge as well as teaching techniques. If you are not able to homeschool your kid, what are they actually getting in their brains 7h / day?
What kind of societal examples are being given to them at that place? My public school was good. But I know that many are not, not even mentioning the culture of all people's kids these days.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
