You.

Every time you shopped at Home Depot, Walmart, Target, and other big box China shops instead of paying a couple bucks more at your local mom and pop.

The thing is that if people had shopped at mom and pop stores more the bad guys would just have rigged the game to further favor globalist stores. There are many ways they can do this - zoning laws, property taxes, where welfare cards can be used etc. The people who control the system will always win in the end.

This doesn’t change the fact that everything is made over seas. I’m proud of you for calling me a hypocrite. It still doesn’t address the issue.

The median income isn't high enough for that. It's not a "few bucks," it's multiples, like 2x the cost, 4x, 10x.

Maybe you weren't around to watch the strategy: 1. Price way lower than small business competition. 2. Wait for business to close. 3. Raise price to above what small business used to charge.

Now you pay $20 for a decent paintbrush and think hurr durr at least its not as much as it would be at a local, family run business, as if you truly understood what's going on.

I just order it online from China where it was manufactured and avoid paying the overhead to either the big box store or the small business owner. I don't want to enrich someone else's family with my money for no reason, they have to deserve it.

Mkay, commie.

So I'm not a commie in your book if I waste money on a small business owner who is a middle man for China instead of cutting them out.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't buy from China even after my Grandpa lectured me on the subject in the 80s. That said, I do my best to find products made in this country. Yes, buying from China, directly or supporting a business that does is communist. It supports a communist regime and frankly look at the state of things now. Chinese destroyed manufacturing in the US, flooded our country swallowing up our real estate, influence our government and put simply nobody knows what sort of fuckery is coming next.
