US support of Ukraine Nazis is hardly a surprise. The shocking thing is that the so-called "liberals" have flipped to be good corporate citizens and Fellow Travellers to the US imperial military-industrial complex. They have rehabilitated the worst of the Bush neo-cons.

The US going to war against Nazi Germany was a historical anomaly. Both before, and after, the second world war the US has leaned fascist with a veneer of democracy to fool the plebs, supported fascists, and turned a blind eye to far-right terrorists so long as they only attacked black people. Fascism and Nazism are 100% compatible with the sort of robber baron crony capitalism the US has championed for most of its history.

Had Hitler been less of an idiot, the US would have stayed neutral in the war.

Uh, FDR had basically declared war against Germany in the Atlantic. See: USS Reuben James incident.

It is true that the US Navy was fighting an undeclared war against Germany in the Atlantic, which lead to the USS Reuben James being sunk. But that alone wasn't sufficient to convince the US government or the US people to go to war. That required Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, which was then followed by Hitler's declaration of war on the USA.

Of all the dumb things that Hitler did, that was the dumbest by far. That cut out almost all opposition to the war in the senate, congress and convinced the American people to support the war. Had Hitler just kept his big mouth shut, America would have fought Japan but there would have been great opposition to them joining the war in Europe.

The Nazis had plenty of support from the public and private sector in the US. The continued existence of the state of Israel as a Jewish state and the continued funding of the state of Israel by the United States, is just the first step toward reparations for that and every other crime against Jews committed by Gentiles prior to or since 1948.
