              Hitler did have redeeming qualities. In many ways, he was a better person than a lot of people who hate him. Now, socialism is bad, government is a scam, and he was off base with some of his major views. And it's perfectly legitimate to shoot at people who do try to enforce those things with the state. But, virtue means 'manliness' not 'being too cowardly to commit acts other people tell you are bad'. People like Genghis Khan might be arch-criminals and I wouldn't cry if you shot them. But is was Temujin a better person, in many ways, than Brian Stelter? Hell yes.

                          He could say the holocaust didn't happen which wouldn't discredit him nearly as much as praising Hitler. I think the holocaust happened but the numbers are inflated, I don't believe Hitler was a good person but even if Kanye believes that he could apply some common sense and think to himself "damn if I say this, it will discredit all that I've said, maybe it's not the best time for it". There is nothing to be gained from praising Hitler, even if he likes Hitler. Could have just said "The holocaust didn't happen" or that "The body count is inflated" whatever he believes. That could lead to what you said, praising Hitler doesn't lead anywhere.

                                                  I sexually identify as a Palestinian Black Lesbian Dwarf and I don't know how I feel about this - not because I'm for or against Hitler, but because Kanye is a limited hangout who seems to have passed most of the limits, though he's adding fuel to the culture wars and hasn't given up authority including religion yet.
