These are kids with behavioral problems. Talking about their feelings in therapy didn't work for them or they wouldn't have been sent to a discount Christian camp for troubled teens.

I support the use of extreme measures to correct their behavior. It only seems awful if you haven't had to live with someone like that.

I was sent to boarding school for troubled teens much like this, except it was not christian, and I can tell you from personal experience that this only aggravates any existing problems. Many of the people I attended with are now dead from drug problems they never had before going there. These types of schools have a track record of being shut down for physically, psychologically, and even sexually abusing children in their care, including the one I went to. In my experience they create a bunch of young adults with PTSD that have a very difficult time reintegrating into society
