There's a really popular cult of them, they're called furries. They claim it's just about "animal characters" but by that definition nearly everyone and everything in the world is furry. In reality it's nearly all sexual, usually marked SFW and okay for kids, and they are everywhere. They claim it's not zoophilia when it obviously is. All of their inside jokes and language is sexual (some of which recently went mainstream somehow, like UwU). Most of them are huge snowflakes, and quite a few of them literally support things like North Korea and Stalin. Somehow something like 80% of them are gay, which makes me think they just have a queer fetish or want to be part of the alphabet fad. Especially with how obsessed, and I mean OBSESSED they are with being gay.

Quite a few have been found to have been violating pets, fucking roadkill, grooming, crapping in the middle of public parks like a dog, etc. Much of it is very strange and creepy, definitely not a normal "fandom" or fetish culture. Also, 99% of Discord employees are furries, and they made an exception to the sexualization of minors rule for furries.

And no, the kids who think they're furries because animals are cute don't count.
