I don't find anything substantial, just speculation, and it's about ad revenue. When you say "penalized by Youtube's algorithm", you're giving the impression that they appear lower in the search results. A bit misleading.

You literally came up with that yourself and told me that's what I think. You're wrong. Stop doing that.

Short videos don't get recommended by the algorithm. Youtube decided it dislikes short videos and 10 minutes is the shortest it wants. It also is moving away from small creators and recommending mainstream media and content created by elites.
