U2 sucked, except for Achtung Baby and that was good only because Brian Eno produced it. So there. :)

I like the Daniel Lanois and Eno produced Joshua Tree, even if it was their huge commercial success and breakthrough. I also had them before that, but that changed a lot for them.

I liked Joshua Tree too but for me Acthung Baby was the bomb. I couldn't stop playing it. Also loved Eno's ambient music and Fripp and Eno. But really I just wanted to get into this contentious, long thread.

Carswell. Really? I guess Toronto does strange things to a man.

That makes no sense. It has nothing to do with Toronto. It was a best selling album. When it came out I was attending high school in Windsor and worked at the A&M Record store in Tecumseh Mall selling copious albums on vinyl, cassettes, and CDs back then. Since then and after all my adventures in Toronto, NY, Austin, SF, Vancouver, etc. I'm back in Windsor now. I don't listen to U2 anymore, but I still listen to Lanois and Eno in my playlists.

Wow. I must have been super crazy drunk because I fucking hate U2. I love that South Park episode where Bono is just a very large poop. Also, I hate Brian Eno. I'm fairly certain I must have intended that comment as sarcasm.

There is no accounting for taste. I liked that one U2 album and it was thirty years ago or so. I tend to go on saidit after a few drinks too and usually regret it.
