I blame NCEA, anti-smacking, and hula hoops.

and the rise of social media and kids thinking they can make it as a YouTuber, a TikTokker, or an "influencer"...

If someone uses the term "influencer" then I make excuses and leave. They're clearly to stupid too interact with.

Can't really blame them class rooms aren't stimulating at all, it's boring as fuck if you don't actually enjoy the lesson or environment you're in.

Gaming the system to get those sweet credits is a strong skill, though.
