Idk if you remember, but I mentioned to you once before that in the last year and half (almost two years now), I started to really get into music (all genres) from the 50's-80's (as I only listened to anything that was 90's and up until then).

This song was one of my favorite songs when I was in middle school lol (Basment Jaxx - Where's Your Head At). Re-listening to it over the past few years, lead me to original source/main sample of this song, and the discovery of Gary Numan. Both songs are great imo, but I love the Gary Numan OG version & the lyrics, I was shocked when I heard M.E. If it weren't for Numan, I feel like we wouldn't have many albums/songs that we do have.

Interesting, very cool to hear the original sample. Nice find!

I was honestly shocked when I heard it. I didn't know much about Basement Jaxx, but for my last 2 years of middle school and maybe my freshman year of highschool, that song, and The Bad Touch were on everyone's myspace pages lmao. I can't lie, even though those 2 songs seem to be have been forgotten, they're guilty pleasures of mine from time 2 time.

M.E. was in the recommended section when I was listening to WYH@ on YT, I was exploring music at that time so I clicked it and when I heard the original sample, just slowed down, I was like holy shit. Binged Numan for like 2 weeks after that.

But yeah, groups like Daft Punk have said if it weren't for Gary Numan, they wouldn't exist.

I guess I'll have to listen to more Gary Numan then!
