That was a sad read. She seems to be a good-hearted person that ended up in extreme circumstances and it chewed her up.

How many like her? Way way too many. I hope she finds her way through her anger and to a more satisfying life. While her mother was a monster, until McCurdy can let that go, she continues to be a slave to the monster. Her anger at her mother no longer has any effect on her mother, while continuing to warp her own life the longer she indulges it. I repeat, yes her mother was a monster. But giving our attention to monsters no longer present only feeds the remaining power of that monster, even after her death. I wish McCurdy a long happy life. She was handed a rough start. If she uses that platform, however, and creates wisdom, she can become a tremendously powerful force for growth in the world.
